Rudraksha tree is native to areas in Philippines, Manila, North East India, Nepal , Bhutan and Bangladesh but due to climatic changes over a period of time it is now found only in Eastern parts of Nepal.
The tree is perennial and around ten to thirty meters tall around 1 meter wide and is greyish in color. The wood from the tree is also used for furniture purpose and fuel purpose.
The leaves of the tree look similar to that of mango tree and said to be possess anti bacterial properties and have been used traditionally to treat wounds as well as migraine, headache and epilepsy.
Planting And Caring For Rudraksha Plant
The vining varities can grow up to 15 feet tall hence they will require some sort of support structure, the plant of rudraksha requires sun to light shade area with well drained soil with moderate fertility.
Plant it at the same level as it was in the pot you receive, due to its good hardiness level it can be grafted onto the common rootstock as well.
